California Guard Card Certification
Topic: This course is the first step in working in a security career. Our course is certified through California’s BSIS and is AB2880-compliant. You will learn the basics from the following topics and receive state certification as a security officer:
- Roles and Responsibilities of a Security Officer
- Observation and Report Writing
- Criminal Liabilities
- Civil Liabilities
- Handcuffing Techniques
- Searches
- Private Citizens Arrest
- Terrorism/Weapons of Mass Destruction
- Ethics and Professionalism
Requirements:
- Must be 18 or older
- Free from all felony and some misdemeanor convictions (call for misdemeanor disqualifiers)
- Pass a fingerprint check through the FBI and California DOJ
Duration: 8 hours
